Timor-Leste, also known as East Timor, gained independence in 2002. It has a population of about 1.3 million people. The capital and largest city is Delhi. The culture here is similar to the local traditions of Portugal. The main languages are Tatum and Portuguese. Most of the population is Christian, the country has a diverse landscape including mountains, tropical forests and beautiful beaches.
